Spanish (Block 1)

This is a beginner’s Spanish class. During the first 4 weeks we will introduce learners to basic vocabulary, grammar, and beginner conversation. Effort will be made to tailor the class to learner’s interests and needs. Students will need to purchase "Spanish Made Simple: Revised and Updated" by Judith Nemethy. Limited copies are available for sale through MDI Adult Ed (288-4703).

Spanish (Block 3)

Do you wish to acquire enough knowledge of Spanish to meet your needs as a tourist or business traveler in a Spanish Speaking country? Do you wish to read simple Spanish texts? Do you wish to build a foundation in the Spanish language for further study in secondary school or college? This course meets the needs of the self-learner, whether the aim is the practical conversation and comprehension ability needed by a tourist or businessperson, or the wish to read in Spanish.
This 8-week class is a continuation of Spanish blocks 1 and 2.

Spanish Conversation 1

Conversation 1 is a fun, interactive class designed to reinforce what you have learned in our Spanish Block 1 & 2 classes. Students should have a good grasp of basic grammar of the Spanish language such as; articles, basic nouns, and important verb conjugation.

French for Beginners

This live online course is designed as a hands-on French enrichment class with an emphasis on conversation and learning basic and common phrases used in travel situations such as registering at a hotel, asking directions, and ordering food at restaurants. The course will cover French pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, as well as elements of French and North American French culture. A great option for beginners or those who would like to brush up on their French, prepare for a trip to a French-speaking country, or connect with French-speaking neighbors or customers. We will use the workbook French Made Simple by Pamela Rose Haze (new or used copies may be purchased on Amazon). This is a live online class.
