Acadia National Park: How to Get a Job! W18
with Heather Cooney
Each year Acadia National Park offers many exciting work opportunities. This workshop will familiarize the student with the process of applying for positions at Acadia National Park and other Federal Government organizations and agencies. The student will learn to navigate the USAJOBS website to search for jobs, create a profile, build a resume, and apply for positions. Students will learn the language used to describe seasonal, temporary, and permanent positions and eligibility to compete. Highlighted Jobs at ANP: Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula offers many exciting employment opportunities each year through the summer season. Seasonal employees in the Maintenance Division support the park in diverse ways. We maintain the paved roads and carriage roads, maintain and rehabilitate 156 miles of trails, clean, maintain and repair all buildings and facilities, run an automotive repair shop, and respond to equipment and utility service calls throughout the park. The Maintenance Division is always looking for new people to bring their skills and enthusiasm to the program. Join us for an informational meeting about when and how to apply for these exciting opportunities. Code: 6200.08.0.318.71.159537
