This is one of the most important computer classes you can take! Learn tips and strategies to keep you and your family safe online. Computers will be available for this training. You will not need to bring a laptop or purchase software to attend. Bringing a fully charged laptop is optional.
The Maine Digital Inclusion Initiative (MDII) is a program developed by the National Digital Equity Center (NDEC) to deploy teams of AmeriCorps volunteers, throughout the state of Maine, to provide free of charge computer skills training, that is open to the public in community centers, libraries, and adult education facilities. The MDII goal is to confront barriers to digital literacy while connecting communities, employers, workers, neighbors, and decision makers around to make a positive impact on the issues of economic development through workforce education as well as technology training for older adults with aging in place concerns.
