Winter Woody Plant Identification
with Jill Weber
$36
The leaves have fallen, the snow is on the ground. Who thinks of plants in January? Everyone should! This course is geared toward beginners. Over the course of 4 one-hour sessions, we’ll learn the parts of a twig, then use these parts to see differences between species, then to identify species. And, of course, every plant has a story, so we’ll talk about the natural history, uses, and fun facts of many of the trees we learn.
Jill Weber has worked in Maine as a consulting botanist ecologist for over 30 years. She is co-author of The Plants of Acadia National Park and Sedges of Maine and teaches part-time at The College of the Atlantic.
