Telling Our Stories Book Group
How do we tell our own stories? Why are they important? How do we decide what to tell? What do we learn from telling our own stories? From reading others’ stories? How and why do we share our stories with others? How do our personal stories connect to the stories of our communities and country? Join this book discussion group to discuss these questions and discover the world of books and ideas. Learn how to relate the themes in books to your own life and to share your ideas with others. This four-session monthly book group is a great way to build your confidence in reading, discussing ideas and preparing for school, college, work or social situations. You’ll receive nine books as part of this special program provided through the generous support of the Maine Humanities Council. If you or someone you know would be interested in this group, please contact us! This group will meet in March-April, dates/times to be determined.
