Maine Driving Dynamics

A Bureau of Highway Safety course aimed at improving a student's defensive driving awareness and abilities. The five-hour course includes discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways.
The course format engages participants with a mixture of lectures, videos, and class discussion and participation. Upon completion, students will receive a three-point credit on their driving record. Some insurance companies give discounts after completing this course, so check with your company for details. Please bring your driver's license to class. Class meets on Tuesday and Thursday.

A $100 deposit is required to hold your spot and is non-refundable once the class (orientation night) begins.
The Driver's Ed class will consist of 4 in-person meetings and an online AAA program:
Date: TBD, 3-4:30pm(orientation)
Date: TBD, 3-6pm (class 1)
Date: TBD, 3-6pm (class 2)
...followed by a month of working on the AAA online class from home, and then...
Date TBD, 3-5pm ( review/permit test)
Ten hours of driving time is also required. The instructor will schedule these with the students once the class begins.
