Google Drive/Docs: Intro

This is an in-person class presented over zoom at MDI Adult Ed.
Two of the great benefits to your Google account are Google Drive and Google Docs. Google Drive is free cloud storage and Google Docs is Google's free alternative to MS Word. In this class you will learn how to store and manage your files online as well as use the Google Docs platform where you can create stunning documents.
Requirement:
A device connected to the internet and an active Gmail account.
iPhone Basics
with NDEC Staff

This course covers the basics of how to use Apple’s popular iPhone. This class starts with the basicsof how to log on using multiple methods from passcode to touch id to face recognition technology. Apple’s iCloud service will be discussed, including how it will help secure your data and allow yourdata to be used across multiple Apple devices. The App Store will be covered to find additional applications that may meet your varied interest and needs.

Free Technology Classes via Zoom

The National Digital Equity Center offers free, online, interactive technology classes on a wide variety of topics and devices.
First, enroll by clicking HERE.
Be sure to select Mt Desert Island Adult Education under "Partner".
Second, find the classes you want to take HERE
Classes are either held at a physical location or online. Be sure to select "online interactive" classes that you can take at home. You may also find classes offered 'in-person' at MDI Adult Ed or your local library.
