Barre Bootcamp Section 1

Barre Bootcamp is a low impact workout that will produce a big burn! Barre combines elements of strength training, Pilates/Yoga and dance. Small movements and many reps will help sculpt and tone muscles you didn’t even know you had!

This class is offered virtually through Zoom. Equipment that will be used include: a chair or countertop or something to hold onto, light hand weights, versa loop, gliding disks for hardwood floors (or use socks or face cloth) for carpet floors (or use paper plate), bender ball (or equivalent). These sessions will be recorded and available to registrants for one-week after each class.

Tai Chi Essentials (seated) Section 1

Relieve stress, increase flexibility, and improve your balance. Develop awareness of your internal energy. Deepen and strengthen your awareness in each session you take. Class structure will be 30 minutes of seated instruction and 15 minutes of Q&A. Wear comfortable clothing. No previous Tai Chi experience required.

Relaxation and Stress Reduction with Hatha Yoga Session 1

Estate Planning and Probate: How Does it Work?

This ZOOM class takes a thousand-foot view of estate planning and the probate process in Maine. Topics discussed include trusts, wills, powers of attorney, MaineCare and elder law issues, probate, and what you should do to put your "house in order".

A binder of information will be available before the class begins. You will receive an email when these are available for pick-up at MDI Adult Ed or the SWH library.

Tim Stanley is an MDI native and an associate attorney working with the law firm of Jones, Kuriloff & Sargent, LLC. Tim works primarily in estate planning, trust administration, probate and elder law.

 

Chair Yoga Section 1

Welcome to a new approach to resistance training! Utilizing combination movement patterns in a targeted, rhythmic progression. Its superpower is the dynamic integration of upper and lower body movements set to fun music. The result? A sweat-drenched, functionally efficient workout that will challenge your body in new ways, improve lean muscle mass, and rev your metabolism. You will want a set of hand weights anywhere from 5lbs-15lbs.


This is a live, online class on Friday mornings. Recordings will be available to registrants for one week after each class.
